Episodes and Images from the Hawaiian Historical Society
The Hawaiian Historical Society is primarily a
research facility that houses over 15, 000 volumes of historical
documents on Hawai‘i and Pacific – an extensive collection of nineteenth
and early twentieth-century materials, including narratives of early
voyages and travels, newspapers, photographs and manuscripts. The
Society publishes limited-edition books, The Hawaiian Journal of
History, the newsletter Na Mea Kahiko, an Annual Report, a Guide
to the Library collections, and a Catalog of Publications. For more
